the thing abt reigen that makes him shitty isn’t that he’s like….. greedy or money hungry. we’re shown time and time again examples of reigen prioritizing doing a good job or protecting the feelings of others before making a quick buck.
the thing that makes him so shitty is his loneliness. he doesnt mock mob and tell him to get new friends bc he wants money, he does it bc hes an emotionally stunted asshole who doesnt like the idea of his closest friend (whos 13) prioritizing others above him.
hes lonely. hes geeky. he never seems to actually care abt money more than the average person and repeatedly actually spends money on his friends/fake children (amusement park omake was suuuuch an example of that)
his worst flaw is the one that makes him the most relatable and charming. hes a geeky piece of shit w no friends.
